Anita Maternity Nursing Bra review

Review: Anita Maternity Rose Illusion Nursing Bra

bra 3I’m in the minority because I’m still breastfeeding my 20 month son.  While I love breastfeeding him once or twice a day, I must admit that I am totally fed up of the plain nursing bras and have missed my more attractive usual bras.

However, I have discovered that there are nursing bras out there that look as good as a usual bra.  I have been wearing the Anita Maternity Rose Illusion Nursing Bra for the last couple of weeks and I think I will actually miss breastfeeding as it is so gorgeous. The design is very feminine and you can’t tell that it is a nursing bra at first glance.  There are great little touches of detail like a bow in the front that make it more special to wear and the quality of the fabric is evident when touching it.  In fact, it feels softer and silkier than my non-nursing bras.

Unlike my other nursing bras that I have worn – and having breastfed five children, I have worn quite a few brands – this one is padded.  If like me, you usually wear a padded bra, it feels more natural to wear this one and I know that I feel more confident in it.  And although it is padded, there is still room for a breast pad if needed.  But it is not just the cups that are padded, the straps are too for more comfort.

The main difference between this bra and my usual non-nursing bras are the clips that make it easy to detach the cup so that you can breastfeed.  Because the colours of the straps are back, these blend in and are discreet which again makes the bra more attractive in appearance.  Unlike many nursing bras that I have used in the past, the top of the cup stays in place so that you feel less exposed – only the essential part of the breast and nipple for breastfeeding are uncovered.

5039 Anita Maternity Rosa Illusion Nursing Bra (2)

Overall, I love this bra and wish it hadn’t taken so long to discover it.  I wear it more than any of my other bras and love the femininity and confidence that it gives me.

Rather than groaning at the thought of wearing a nursing bra and dreading anyone seeing it when getting changed for swimming, I enjoy pulling my Anita Maternity Rose Illusion Nursing Bra out of the drawer.

The RRP for the Anita Maternity Rose Illusion Nursing Bra   £39

What a gorgeous bra! I must admit I don’t miss boring droopy nursing bras at all! Whilst I loved breastfeeding I was glad to get back to my wire. This is beautiful.
Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested this week x
